We have the opportunity to live on our 146 acre family farm on the Howard County and Carroll County border near Burlington.  Walnut Ridge Farm & Lodge is a beautiful secluded farm approximately 12 miles west of Kokomo.  The Wildcat Creek winds around portion of our property with Pete’s Run stream cutting through the land.

Crops and Conservation

There is 35-40 acres of tillable fields dedicated to growing corn and soybeans.  There are several acres in the Conservation Reserve Program to help with erosion control and foster wildlife development.

Animals

We enjoy country life with our cows, horse, pony, dog, chickens, goats, ducks and wildlife.  We are looking forward and anticipating adding sheep in the near future.

Garden, Hay, Orchard and Vineyard

In the coming years, we look forward to establishing a garden, hay fields, having a small orchard and variety of grape vines on the property.

Recreation, Activities and Events

We have a blast riding horses, four-wheelers and the dirtbike around the property.  With the Wildcat Creek winding around the farm, we also enjoy fishing and canoeing too.  It is a treat to go deer hunting every October and November!  We enjoy hosting friends to the property throughout the year and having a Fall Harvest Party every October that includes a hayride, bonfire, and pony rides!
